  1. It’s time for two states solution and an end to this crazy war. The US should not be dragged into this condemnation by the world any longer. All the credits America has built over decades has begun to crumble. It’s still not late to change course though.

  2. The last ceasefire was not a ceasefire though, that is the part everyone ignores. The supposed ceasefire before October 7 included a lot of munitions fired from Gaza into Israel. Why would Israel expect Hamas to honor a ceasefire this time when they ignored the last one for years before Oct 7.

  3. I know that UN can vote on things like sanctions, embargo but on cease fire ? I thought that army engaged in a warfare decides when to stop shooting. UN can help one side, punish the other but to tell anyone when to cease fire? Where's the UN resolution to return over 100 hostages?

  4. Bri is right about the wording issue – if the words were being thought of as synonymous, there would be no need to change them, so "lasting" is almost certainly being used because it's the more nebulous term.

That said, it's non-binding, so who cares? Let's just wag our fingers at the warmongers some more. That'll teach 'em.

  5. The video is disturbing no doubt but what are these guys doing ? They’re walking through a no go zone and I feel confident a shoot on sight order has been issued of which they must be fully aware .. Perhaps they wanted to see if the IDF was to be taken seriously .. They will be forever known as THE DEFIANT ONES ..

  6. How can Robbie not realize that words and wording MATTER when it comes to legal documents!? If it didn't matter, WHY the US would fight so hard against using "permanent" over "lasting" then? He doesn't even think about that. Guys a clown

  7. Word games must be replaced by actions. US continues delivering military aid while faking concerns for Palestinian civilians, women and children. These games make the US look weak. The world has decided that what is happening is illegal, brutal and intolerable. US and State of Israel are trying to manage the 'look'. Enough. Permanent ceasefire now. Palestinian self-determination now.

  8. Correct. Everything is lasting. Only in spirit. Dependent upon the outcome. That’s an accurate description and assessment. IMHO. So yes, I agree there should be a cease fire. Dependent upon outcome
