US And UK Launch STRIKES Against Houthi Rebels In Yemen; Hunter Pleads NOT GUILTY To Felony Charges

The U.S. and U.K. unleashed a barrage of retaliatory strikes targeting Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. The joint effort is a response to Houthi rebels’ attacks against commercial vessels in the Red Sea. GOP frontrunner Donald Trump delivered a fiery speech outside of a courtroom in NY, following closing remarks in the civil fraud trial against him. The remainder of the Republican pack is in Iowa ahead of the caucus on Monday. Weather is proving to be a major challenge, with Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley and Trump having to cancel campaign stops because of blizzard-like conditions. Hunter Biden entered a not guilty plea in federal tax case. Taiwan gears up for presidential elections. A deal to avert a U.S. government shutdown is anything but secure. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is not having luck getting the Republican caucus on board with a bipartisan deal; the GOP is divided, half of whom are saying it is too far left. The deadline is Jan 19.
