President Biden is delivering a briefing Wednesday to emphasize the administration’s efforts to combat a reversal of the longstanding decline in serious crimes.
The White House is pointing to the resources it has provided to local law enforcement authorities received through the American Rescue Plan as one way it is battling crime. The administration has also emphasized its work to prevent gun violence, including cracking down on “ghost gun” kits.
Biden is slated to speak beginning at 1:30 p.m. EST.
