Transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg on Thursday morning is slated to testify before a Senate committee on the administration’s 2025 budget request as well as funding to repair Baltimore’s collapsed Key bridge.
Members of Maryland’s congressional delegation introduced a bill last month that would require the federal government to cover the entire cost of repairing the Baltimore bridge that collapsed after a ship hit it last month.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EDT.
