The House is set to vote Tuesday on articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
Mayorkas has become the face of what many Republicans consider the Biden administration’s failure to secure the U.S. southern border.
Two members of the GOP majority, Reps. Ken Buck (Colo.) and Tom McClintock (Calif.), have said they plan to vote against impeachment, but the articles could still pass if no other Republicans defect.
The House convenes Tuesday at noon, with a vote expected later in the day.
