House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) will address the increased antisemitism at U.S. colleges and universities at a press event Tuesday.
Although related to the wave of protests against Israel’s prosecution of its war against Hamas, reports of antisemitism describe the threat of personal harm to individuals that goes far beyond political demonstration or even civil disobedience.
Eyewitness accounts from students at Columbia University have said that their institution’s administration has failed to address the escalating crisis on their campus.
Johnson is slated to speak at 2:15 p.m. EDT.
