This is by far the easiest way I have found to remove plasti dip from your wheels. Likely you have the materials needed and won’t need to spend any extra money!

Will acetone work?
One gay song
Thanks man not all heroes wear capes
Not sure what exactly the alcohol did peeling the product off your rim is how it was meant to be used. spray a lil kerosene and watch it melt off without peeling.
What about if I don’t want to take the wheels off to get this done?
What if there are no tires mounted on the wheels?
Yea she no work like that most the time..
The alcohol is not going to ruin the rubber of the tires?
Mineral terps breaks it down and removes it.
Plastic dip removal works too.
Thank you so much for the vid i bought some after market wheels that were plasti dipped and it looked terrible so I was trying to remove by peeling with a credit card but this helped so much thank you!!
Do not work in the sun with rubbing alcohol. No bueno if it fully dries on a surface
what if your wheels are freshly balanced and mounted on your car…. Will rubbing alcohol ruin anything on the rotors or pads if you peel off the big spots and than g to a car wash to remove the remains hard to get too spots?
Ty Sam
Apply with a sponge
The best way to dissolve the dip off imo at my detail shop is with adhesive remover it basically liquifies it and it just wipes off
Kerosene also works very well.
You look like Sammy from blue mountain state hahah great video!!
Degreaser works too
Work but i found something a lot better, heavy duty grease remover, its work amazing
but I'm in california and we are in a drought, cant use water as freely like you did.
somebody could report you, be careful.
Adam Sandler?
rubbing alcohol took the finish off my rims now it looks like someone jizzed all over it GREAT VIDEO
Plastic razor blades would help scraping that remainder portion too. thanks for vid. Need to remove P-Dip from wheels to sell my car
Great video. I'm gonna Plasti dip one rim to see if I like it. If not take it off. So worth the risk now. Thnx
can also use thinner if its too thin to peel
Won't this make your tires brown over time??? As in the next day
Thanks bro
Thanks buddy 💪
2:32 RIP HEADPHONE USERS!!!!!
What if what if it's hard and caked up? Purple Power and Scotch-Brite pad? I have some on around my tail lights that's going to get painted anyway
Very nice LS430 in the back
Adam Sandler? .
My man you are a lifesaver! I plasti dipped my wheels and the coating was too thin so it was a pain to takeoff! I was on my way to a detailing shop and they ask for $150 to take them off and then I found out about your video. I sprayed rubbing alcohol on my wheels the night before and I woke up the next day took them all off in one hour! THANSK DUDE!
If it's too thin to get to peel, why not clean the thin layer spotless so you can apply more coats to stick properly? Then try a heat gun or propane torch (keep it moving), to get it to start peeling.
I'm trying to figure out how to get HF bedliner off of a Lexus wheel w/o trashing the finish. Any ideas? Next is getting it off the garage floor and wall. Yep, the wife ran over a brand new gallon of the goo and popped it. I'm still trying to figure out how she got the can and didn't drive through the wall. Hellfire!
That only works if you put it on thick. It doesn't work if it's a thin layer of plasti dip
you know the pressure washer on the highest setting will hurt the paint on the wheel that’s why there’s a car setting on some pressure washers because it won’t harm the paint
wow, worked very fast, had only about 1/2 ounce of alcohol. going to buy a quart now. thx. original wheels are beautiful.
Well duh if you put it on thick enough it peels off in under 60 seconds. I do it all the time with my bare hands and no alcohol or water. Not so easy with thin layers. Thin layers BLOW
Great tips! You made a daunting task look easy!
The fact that you have a product in home, doenst make it free… XD, but great video!
This isn't free? You're still out the cost of the isopropyl alcohol.
Kids.. Stop using plasti dip worst invention ever
That plasti dip is done right. Mine is so thin that it wont peal as a whole and im getting kind of irritated.
