Anne Arundel County, Maryland — On March 28, 2024, at approximately 1:35 p.m., Anne Arundel County Police Officers responded for a report of an armed subject in a residence in the 8600 block of Gambier Harbor in Pasadena. Responding officers received information that the subject had shot and killed a cat inside the residence. Officers arrived at the residence and gave verbal commands to a 60-year-old female, instructing her to come out of the house. The woman stepped outside but then retreated into the house.

The woman then exited the house armed with a handgun. Officers gave repeated commands for the female suspect to drop the firearm, but the suspect did not comply with the commands. The suspect then raised the firearm in the direction of the officers. Fearing for their safety, officers discharged their departmentally-issued firearms, striking the suspect. The suspect was transported to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in critical but stable condition. A firearm was recovered at the scene. A cat was located, deceased, inside the residence from an apparent gunshot wound(s).

  5. Poor crazy women she forgot that bullets hurt and can kill people, she thought she was invincible and leave the poor animals alone people.

  6. The amount of kit they carry on themselves, why don’t they have gloves? They weigh nothing , but they should wear them as protocol, every time they are in proximity of a person/crime scene.

  11. Tragic all round. Tragic for the cat, tragic for the lady with dementia, tragic that those cops rolled up all amped up and ready to perform an execution.

    It’s like making fun of someone with Parkinson’s or some other mental illness….its gross and some of you are extremely small for mocking someone with a mental illness.
