What role does independent media play after Trump?

From our TRNN #InaugurationDay livestream, the Real News team sits down to discuss the devastation left by Donald Trump’s presidency, the bizarre national spectacle of Joe Biden’s inauguration, and what role independent media must serve in these times. TRNN’s own Marc Steiner, host of the weekly “Marc Steiner Show,” is joined by TRNN reporter Jaisal Noor, Managing and Baltimore Editor Lisa Snowden-McCray, and Editor-in-Chief Maximillian Alvarez.

  1. I anticipate that Facebook Twitter Instagram will shutdown everyone's account that has ever spoke out against the Democrats when it starts getting to the point of rebellion which will make it impossible for us to communicate and strategize

  2. Oligarchy elites own our representative elites who are supposed to represent the people…who are the government… we the people by the people for the people. The people are the government

  3. Information inequality is an important point. Mainstream outlets and large platforms are clearly are a lost cause in that regard

  4. You people have still no clue of the real impact a US president can have on people outside your country, or even outside your class within your country…. Trump was unable to start a single war during his term (a first in US history) while Biden started a new war (against a virus!!!) on his first day and he is applauded for it shows how supportive the US people are for war, whatever its justification. If you want to really be independant, start by question the attraction to war that is part of the US justification as a country/society.
