That is a very clear video of how to change brake pads. If I feel brave enough I will give it a go.
Don't forget the Ford rear brakes are different the piston rotates clockwise with a special tool. Good job Chris/
Very well done
This is a great video. I love the visuals. You get close up and the view is clear. Your description is clear and easy to understand. Thank you.
Don't you need to bleed the brakes?
You never mentioned what grease. Silicone paste for the two bolts. Also copper never seize for the exteriorr contacts.
what happens if that grease……works its way onto the shoe or the rotor brake surface?
so those springs………they dont require ANY work? nio clipping in, they just sit the5re loose?
wow the new pads have atleast a full inch or more Less braking surface.
Mate just did my Falcon ute . Bloody 40min . Cheers from Australia

ok so we all love ChrisFix videos- but have to admit is fun to see these older..ok really old videos of his. Still good info.
You didn't take out the caliper pins and grease them. Am I missing something or were you more of a noob back In the day. I've mostly watched videos of yours that were done in the past several years…..
Thanks great video. I am thinking of tackling this for the first time ,what about the brake dust should I wear a mask as I heard it could have asbestos in them ? What precautions should I take
What about the safety issue of jackstands?
Thanks… I've had five Windstars and still drive my 2001 SEL.
Great video. I would also like to add that you probably should wear a dust mask or something over your nose and mouth if you're going to brush off the brake dust…You don't want to inhale that stuff.
Really enjoyed the video, and oh, your video skills really have improved over the years and I love em all!
How to fix a brake line
"WARNING" No Breaker Bar and torque wrench used
😆😆😆
👍
Thank you,Chris!
When pushing pistons remember to unscrew the brake fluid reservoir cap to release pressure.
You wouldn't to mess up the master cylinder.
Tnx…
Those 95 Windstars are classics. Good job on these disc brakes.
97 Ford Escort here. Thanks again
Chris, do you recommend new rotors everytime you have a new pad? or do you turn rotors everytime you have a new pad? in this video, I assume you only change pad coz that's the title of this video.

Can I bleed a 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid brakes like a regular car or do I have to use some machine? What happens if I don't use the machine and bleed like normal?
